Supplying final artwork

When supplying final artwork to Holyrood, please ensure that it is the right size and specification as shown below.

Please note that our page size is NOT A4.

All sizes are in mm

On full pages and double page spreads, please ensure that all text is at least 5mm from the trim edge.

IMPORTANT

For an accurate reproduction of your advertisement, please ensure:

• The appropriate 3mm bleed is on full page and DPS ads

• RGB and Spot colours are converted to CMYK

• All text is converted to outlines where possible and all fonts are embedded

• Your artwork is at a resolution of 300dpi
  
• Your file is saved as a high-res PDF, JPEG, TIFF or EPS
  
• Your file is clearly named (e.g. Yourcompany_Holyrood185.pdf)

Supplying text and graphics for an advert to be designed

If you wish to take advantage of our free design and production service, please ensure:

• All text is supplied as an attached Word file NOT in the body of an email

• All logos and images are supplied at 300dpi as a high-res PDF, JPEG, TIFF or EPS

• You have a realistic amount of text for the size of advert booked.

• Files are clearly named with all file extensions (e.g. .jpeg, .doc)

• You do not supply logos or images taken directly from the web such as .gifs.  They are unsuitable for print.

Premium impact advertisements

Loose inserts

These should not exceed the size of Holyrood magazine (210mm x 272mm).

These can be designed to your specification or we can distribute your pre-prepared inserts.

Please contact your Holyrood representative to discuss inserts and prices.

Gatefolds

A standard gatefold consists of one full-page advertisement and one double page spread as detailed above.

The Holyrood Public Affairs Guide

Entries in the Holyrood Public Affairs Guide are either quarter page or half page.

Type your organisation’s entry, along with contact details and web address, and return to your Holyrood contact with your photo and/or company logo.

The required resolution for photographs and logos is 300dpi.

The maximum word count for a 1/4 page is 100 words and for a 1/2 page is 200 words.

Sending your advert

Email is our preferred method for receiving completed artwork and text/images.

Please ensure the name of your company and the issue the ad is for are in the subject line and send to production@holyrood.com

We also have an FTP site at: ftp://scott.holyrood.com

Password: holyr00d (the final two ‘o’s are substituted for zeros)

You must use Internet Explorer for this. Please email production@holyrood.com to notify us when you have placed your artwork on the FTP server or call 0131 270 7094/95 if experiencing problems.
