Advertising in Holyrood magazine
Reader relationships
Every day your organisation strives to communicate and develop relationships with Scotland's governing bodies and to consummate these partnerships; our mission is to deliver the appropriate communication solutions.
Holyrood magazine has been in existence May 1999 and has a strong and intimate relationship with its readers and their chosen magazine. This bond and trust benefits advertisers who are seen by readers as an integral part of their magazine.
Your organisation needs a medium that puts them in touch with your target audience - the pin point targeting of Holyrood magazine makes this possible. It is critical for your message to be seen in the appropriate media within the right editorial environment that supports but at the same time is not afraid to objectively criticise.
Successful advertising is about reaching the right people, in the right mood, delivered in the correct format - not just ticking a box.
Positive qualities like trust, belief, expectation and empathy enable you to communicate and develop a relationship with our readers.
Display Advertising
Display advertising can take the form of a double page spread, full page, half page or a third page advertisement.
Full page advertisements
Full page advertisements offer a chance to communicate with your audience without distraction. Your organisation is able to exert powerful control over the way our readership uses and interpretates your message.
Large space impact
Double page spreads are more than just big spaces. The wide rectangular space is ideal for products or services of a prestigious nature or an all important intimation.
Small space advertisements
Fractional advertisement spaces, half and third pages, are an integral part of the magazine and always appear under or beside editorial matter, never under or alongside any other advertisement.
Positioning
Your display advertisement can be positioned in specific sections of the magazine, subject to availability. The most sought after are the cover positions and early front pages which have a price premium attached to them.
Policy Briefings
Policy briefing advertisements deliver a more
complex message than a display advertisement. Text based with a minimum
number of images, logos and photographs they are close to the
magazine.
Policy briefings can be a summary of your organisations
view, manifesto, intimation of a new directive or to support a
specific campaign. Readers appreciate the extra content if it is
informative, relevant, timely and useful.
Policy briefings are clearly marked as such and use a different font
and style. Your Holyrood contact will advise on the number of
words and images to be supplied.
Policy briefings can be used as part of a public affairs, communications or contact programme depending on your objectives.
Contact Directory
Contact directory advertisements are about frequency, creating a constant presence for your organisation’s contact details and areas of interests throughout the Parliamentary year.
High frequency - Your booking would last for 12
months and appear in all 22 issues of Holyrood magazine,
The Holyrood Scottish Political Guide and the Holyrood Public
Affairs Guide - a total of 24 insertions.
We will design your Contact directory advertisement in either a 5cm or
10cm size. For only £66.66 per insertion or £33.33 per week you can
have a constant presence in the hard copy of Holyrood magazine,
inclusion in the electronic version and expanded details in your
holyrood website.
Advertorials
The benefits of intimacy are obvious. If successfully executed, reflecting the magazines visual and editorial style, the impact is unrivalled.
Smart talking - Our readership is intellectually savvy
and street smart and welcome a good read.
Advertorials produced by our production team to the same specification
as the magazine, are only accepted if booked with and positioned
alongside a full page advertisement within the magazine. They are also
subject to the Editors approval. Advertorials are charged at the full
double page spread rate.
